You can make your own homemade energy drinks that you will like better than the ones you can buy. Most store-bought energy drinks are little more than liquid sugar or caffeine, mixed with some healthy-sounding vitamins or clever marketing, at prices higher than your average soda or cup of coffee.
These recipes give you the power to make exactly the sports drink you want, with the exact ingredients you trust, and save money in the process. You can even get a caffeine and sugar free energy boost if you prefer – the choice is yours.
Tools for making homemade energy drinks
For some of these drinks you will need a blender. I like mineClassic Oster Beater. I've had it for years and it's strong.
you have to hackfruits and vegetablesbefore being placed on the passover to be sprinkled. If you want something strong enough to pulverize a whole piece of fruit, you need the Vitamix or thenutribullet.
I have several friends who swear by it.Vitamix mixer. Most blenders require you to cut through the material before putting it in, and you can't always leave the shells in.

I was told you can push whole fruits and vegetables through the Vitamix and it will puree them. You can even add quartered oranges with the remaining peels.
This way you get all the nutrients instead of having waste. You can also pulverize nuts into nut flours, make ice cream andto soup, etc
But I have a few other friends who say the Nutribullet is the way to go. it's actually do it yourselffruit smoothiesIt sprays everything with very little cutting and prep and is quick and easy to use.
It's much cheaper than the Vitamix, and while it can't do it all, not everyone wants a blender that does it all.

You may also want to buy a nice bottle of milkshake. EITHERblender bottleIt has a small internal whisk designed to mix your drink when you shake it.
Now it's bladeless, so it won't crush pieces of fruit like a blender. But I have used it to mix dry powders with liquids, for example.
I used to make lunch smoothies to take to work and the contents would separate before lunch (especially if you used banana). A few swipes of the Blender Bottle and everything is well blended again.
See how to do itMake your own energy bars. They're great to take with you throughout the day for quick energy andhealthy snack.
